AIIC DIOCESE

Political Involvement of Men of God and Government Services

Isaiah 62:3: “Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.”

The relationship between religious leaders and politics is historically complex. Many Christians believe that their faith is confined to spiritual and church life. However, biblical references provide a clear mandate for Christian leaders to engage in local governance.

Our AIIC-Diocese mission and passion are to develop God-loving people in various government departments and politics to ensure good governance. As men of God, we preach and practice the Bible and the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Luke 13:32: “And he said unto them, go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.”

This verse clearly shows Jesus Christ’s courage and boldness in correcting local governance. Inspired by this, AIIC Diocese has taken the responsibility to start a Christian political party in India to fight against injustices toward the Christian community.

Appeal to All Men of God

The gospel is a holistic message with implications for every area of our lives, including political  engagement.

1 Corinthians 12:28: “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly
teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”
There is a misconception among Indian Christians that engaging in politics distracts from the mission of
the church. However, this view is limited and contrary to scriptural examples. The Bible provides a
comprehensive understanding of reality, including political engagement.
In the Old Testament, Joseph and Daniel served in the government, using their influence to benefit their
nations. In the New Testament, Jesus engaged in holistic ministry, addressing both spiritual and physical
needs.

Politics are Unavoidable

Historically, many missionaries entered India for crusades and evangelism. Over time, stringent rules
against Christian missionaries have been implemented due to the lack of elected Christian
representatives in constitutional bodies. Political involvement is crucial for securing religious liberty,
passports, and visas for pastors and missionaries.

Persecution at a Glance

Christians remain one of the most persecuted religious groups in India. Persecution includes
imprisonment, loss of home and assets, physical torture, rape, and death due to their faith. Anti-
Christian radical nationalists view Christians as alien to India and work to stop the spread of the Gospel.
To achieve their agenda, anti-Christian elements create a false impression that Christians are engaging in
forced conversions. They misuse anti-conversion laws, administration, and police to deprive Christians of
religious freedom. Violence against Christians by Hindu extremists often goes unpunished due to
government protection.
Since the current ruling party took power in 2014, attacks on Christians have increased. Hindu radicals
believe they can attack Christians with impunity. Converts from Hinduism to Christianity face extreme
persecution, discrimination, and violence.
Even non-evangelistic Christian charities struggle under the current climate, with their ability to receive
international funding dependent on government approval. Converts are pressured by the state, their
community, and their families to return to Hinduism, often facing physical assault and death.
For example, on June 19, 2018, five Christian women performing a street play in Jharkhand were
abducted and gang-raped in a forest. This incident, among others, highlights the extreme violence faced
by Christians in India. The violence “score” rose from 14.4 in 2018 to 15.2 in 2019, with an increase in
attacks on Christians and churches.Christian NGOs are targeted for detailed interrogation by government departments in attempts to find
faults and accuse them of anti-national activities, especially concerning conversions to Christianity. The
statistics clearly show

A Call and Appeal to Christian NRIs Around the World

There are about 31 million NRIs living in different countries across the world. Among them, only 10 million have
retained Indian citizenship and are classified as Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).
Currently, 10,000 to 12,000 overseas voters exercise their right to vote via proxy because they do not want to spend
foreign currency to travel to India.
We’re like a start-up company with no funds, so any support we can gather is of tremendous value. We are looking
for Christian NRIs who can support us and become team members in everything from raising funds to campaign
strategy. There are a large number of wealthy Indians living abroad, particularly in the US and the UK. Altogether,
there are some 180,000 Indian millionaires overseas, worth a total of $634 billion, according to data provider Wealth
Insight.
A citizen of India who has not taken citizenship of another country can register to vote in their home constituency
even if they have moved away for work or education, according to the Representation of the People (Amendment)
Act, 2010.
The Indian Christians in Constitutional Bodies
Since India’s independence, there have been no major electoral positions for Christians in our parliament and
assemblies across all 29 states. According to the Indian constitution, there is to be only one Member of Parliament
and one Rajya Sabha member from the Anglo-Indian community, and one Anglo-Indian MLA in each of the 29 states.
Due to the limited number of MP and MLA seats allocated to the Anglo-Indian community, they have been unable to
boldly raise their voices in both the upper and lower houses of parliament to address our issues. Many parts of these
states have no representatives from the Anglo-Indian community, leading to wasted seat allocations.
In all 29 states, regional and national parties are biased towards their own agendas. We have not been given seats or
opportunities to contest in local elections. Thus, there is no proper forum or bold voice to fight for our Christian
community’s rights.
As the AIIC Diocese, we take these responsibilities on our shoulders. We aim to equip, empower, and raise Christian
principled leaders, politicians, and bureaucrats to form regional and national governments for upcoming elections.
We have a pan-India network, and God has enabled and empowered us to lead a strong, highly motivated team of
leaders and upcoming politicians who will contest in regional and national politics.
We believe that by participating and contesting in politics, doors for the Gospel and evangelism will open nationwide.
Appeal to the Christian Community
Let us all come together and join this great movement for our God and our nation. Let us make a significant difference
by impacting and supporting with the resources that God has given us.

Aiic- Diocese is the First independent churches Diocese in India. Until this time, the independent churches
were scattered because they were not recognized by the main line churches .And at that time by the inspiration
of God, in the year 2009,a Diocese was established by me which came into existence as All India Independent
